“I don’t remember the recording much at all, The lyrics were about the disillusionment I had about blokes at the time. I know I missed having Penny in the band, my ally and a strong female presence. It’s kind of an angry song and I wanted it to be more grrl power but in hindsight it seems rather plaintive but still captures that confusion and realisation that you can really only depend on yourself.

Julia’s very brilliant animation was made independently. We were lucky that we were friends and she was happy for the collaboration.”
