about

Written by Patrick Robertson

Angus Husband - Guitars,
Matt Balfe - Bass,
Beth Mellick – Guitars and keyboards,
Rob – Drums

Recorded and mixed by Stuart Day, assisted by Damian Costin

“I was trying to write a Matthew Sweet / Posies style song I think. It was probably one of the first batch of songs I'd written where it all started coming together - by that I mean, hooky melodies, better pop structure and learning how to write a good chorus. Once you've done that successfully a couple of times, you kinda get the hang of it and it all starts flowing. I think we didn't release or play it as Motor Ace (though maybe as a b-side) cause we were going for a bit of a tougher edge initially - Chairman Of the Board, Chomakey, Hey Driver. And I think I wanted to break from the past. I do like the track though in retrospect.”
